Superstar Rajinikanth’s latest release, Jailer 2, continues its blockbuster run at the box office, delivering exceptional numbers on its sixth day. According to media reports, the film collected approximately ₹53 crore in India on Day 6 alone. Made on an estimated budget of ₹250 to ₹350 crore, the film's total six-day domestic net collection has reached around ₹338 crore, while its worldwide gross has soared to ₹542 crore. By crossing the ₹500 crore benchmark in just six days, the film has solidified its status as a massive global hit.
Meanwhile, the Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi starrer Prahaar maintained a modest pace on its fifth day. Reports indicate that the action drama managed to collect around ₹3.69 crore domestically on Day 5. Produced on an estimated budget of ₹60 crore, the film's cumulative five-day Indian collection stands at approximately ₹17 crore, with a worldwide total of around ₹19 crore. Given the current trend, recovering its cost at the box office appears increasingly challenging.
On the other hand, Yami Gautam’s horror-comedy Nayi-Naveli registered a positive jump in collections on its fifth day, overtaking Prahaar's daily and overall tally. The film collected approximately ₹5.16 crore in India on Day 5, bringing its five-day domestic total to around ₹22 crore and its worldwide earnings to ₹24 crore. Mounted on a budget of roughly ₹35 crore, Nayi-Naveli is currently around ₹10 crore short of its production cost and is on track to recover its investment if it maintains a steady run in the coming days.
