Siddharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s multi-starrer thriller 'The Vvaan: Force of the Forest', which also features Sunil Grover, Shweta Tiwari, and Maniesh Paul, had a strong start at the box office during its opening weekend before experiencing a significant slowdown in the following days. On its first day, the film collected ₹8 crore, followed by ₹11 crore on the second day, and ₹14 crore on the third day. However, collections dropped thereafter, bringing in ₹5 crore on the fourth day, ₹6 crore on the fifth day, ₹4 crore on the sixth day, and ₹4.5 crore on the seventh day.
With these numbers, the film accumulated approximately ₹63 crore at the domestic box office and around ₹69 crore worldwide within its first week. Given that 'The Vvaan' was made on an estimated budget of ₹80 to ₹100 crore, it currently falls short of recovering its total investment by about ₹10 to ₹30 crore. Moving forward, the movie faces tough competition at the box office with the release of major titles like 'Drishyam 3', though it still has a fair chance to gradually recover its budget over time.
Based on its first-week box office performance, the film is currently labeled as a flop, but there is a strong possibility that it could eventually turn into an average grosser if it picks up momentum in the coming weeks. Despite the slow weekday numbers, the film has received a positive response from both audiences and critics, with many praising the performances and overall direction. Did you watch 'The Vvaan'?
