Nivedita Basu, Senior VP at Atrangii Group, was saddened to hear about the demise of Rituraj Singh. The 59-year-old, who died due to cardiac arrest on Monday night, was part of the industry for almost three decades and did numerous TV shows, films and web series. Nivedita said that each of his performance left an everlasting impression on the viewers.
“It's devastating to hear about his passing, and my heart goes out to his family and loved ones during this difficult time. Rituraj's sudden demise is a profound loss for the entertainment industry. His talent, dedication, and warm personality will be greatly missed,” she said.
Nivedita revealed that she was going to offer him a show on Atrangii, and, now she would never get a chance to talk to him about it.
“I was actually going to offer one of my Atrangii shows to him. Though it was in the development stage, it revolved around an elder man. And unfortunately we couldn’t even reach him for this. We take things and people for granted, and who would have imagined a tragedy like this happening. It’s really sad and I read everyone’s tribute to him and I totally agree with them that he was a loving person. Everyone would have felt that he was special with them. That’s a quality very few men have,” she said.
The late actor was a part of Nivedita’s debut production TV show “Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai” and the latter called it the most enriching and fulfilling experience. She added, “Working with him was a true delight, and it made the whole process even more memorable. His dedication, passion, and expertise were evident in every aspect. Pallavi Joshi and Bhanu Uday Goswami messaged me in the morning that we all were so happy when we were doing the show.”
Appreciating his work, and his love for the craft, she added, “Rituraj exhibited remarkable professionalism and a deep understanding of the craft. His ability to immerse himself in the character and bring it to life was truly remarkable. His dedication to perfection and his attention to detail were evident in his performance. As a debutant producer, I felt extremely fortunate to have him as part of the project, as his presence not only added immense value but also made the journey enjoyable and fulfilling.”
“Moreover, Rituraj's positive attitude, humility, and willingness to learn made him a pleasure to work with. He was always open to feedback and suggestions, and he actively contributed to the creative process. His commitment and hard work were truly commendable. He was a true artist who left a lasting impact on everyone he worked with,” she added.
