Prashant Samtani is a magician behind the camera. The celebrity photographer has shot many popular stars in both Hindi TV and film industry. His recent successful photo shoots were with Erica Fernandes, Nikki Tamboli, Rubina Dilaik, Sourabh Raaj Jain, Himanshu Soni, Arjun Bijlani, Raqesh Bapat, Rati Pandey, Aastha Gill, among others. Sharing his latest photo shoot with Bigg Boss 15 (BB15) contestant Tejasswi Prakash, he says, “She is already very pretty and beautiful. She was too easy and comfortable in front of the camera. Her down-to-earth nature and pleasing personality just took the shoot to the next level and pictures that came out were superb.” Prashant was happy to see Tejasswi Prakash take the BB 15 and Vishal Nikam take the Marathi BB 3 trophy home. " I can say. The best feeling this year for me was that both artists I shot 4 months back came out as Big Boss winners. To see someone I am associated with do well in life makes me happy. Those who work with us are like our family. I shot with Tejasswi even before she entered the Bigg Boss house,” he adds.
So what are the new trends in photography right now, especially in the time of social media boom? “Now photography has gone to another level through all mirrorless cameras, fun collages… a new trend is to have photo and video together and the result is amazing,” he says.
Talking more about how since all new camera shoots are done in 4K quality, the photography trend combining with videography is gaining popularity, Prashant adds, “Never expected such vast change in last few years however the bar is raised in terms of photography and cinematography. Finally, it’s a creative field that has to vary every decade and audiences are liking the combination of photographers and videographers output together for social media posts, vlogs.”
